About us
The repair shop we wanted to find.
FixMyCar was built around one frustration everybody in Los Angeles shares: you hand over your keys, and the next thing you hear is a number you can't check.
What we stand for
Tell people the truth, then charge fairly for the work
Most bad repair experiences are not fraud. They are silence — nobody explains what's wrong, why it costs that, or what happens if you wait. We decided to fix the silence first.
- Price before work. You approve a number. If the job changes, it stops and we call.
- Diagnosis over parts-swapping. A code tells you where to look, not what to replace.
- Urgent, soon, or someday. We rank what we find so you can spend on what actually matters now.
- Your old parts back. Ask and you get them, every time.

How we work
Three habits that make the difference
We test before we quote
Fault codes point at a circuit, not a part. We check the circuit, so you're not paying for a sensor that was working fine.
We write it down
Findings, measurements and prices in writing, so you can compare, think about it, or show someone else. No pressure in a waiting room.
We come to you when we can
Plenty of work doesn't need a lift. If yours does not, the van saves you half a day. If it does, we'll say so.

Who we are for
Drivers who want to understand their own car
You don't need to know what a solenoid does. You do deserve to know why yours is being replaced, what it costs, and what happens if you leave it another month.
We work on domestic, Japanese, Korean and European vehicles, plus light trucks, vans, hybrids and EVs. If a job genuinely needs a dealer-only tool, we tell you that right away rather than charging you to find out.
